NAVY REVOLVER. Cal. 36. S# JD088. Bbl. 7 1/2" oct. Rounded blade front sight. Commemorative replica of a Colt 1851 Navy given from Sam Colt to then Secretary of War Jefferson Davis. Backstrap has an inscription from Colt to Davis. Case colored loading lever, frame & hammer. Blued bbl. & cyl. Silver plated trigger guard & grip frame. Cyl. has naval scene. Much of metal has floral engraving. Factory hang tags present on trigger guard. Walnut grips. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: detachable shoulder stock w/ inscription from Sam Colt to Jeff Davis on top, silver plated & engraved metal. Also included are an Ace green soft case, shipping carton, display case w/ key, powder flask, nipple tool & bullet mold. CONDITION: all aspects near excellent. Left side of case is separated from joint and has large noticeable gouge and cracks. (01-23824/MJC). ANTIQUE. $1500-2500.
