Description
A Chinese Export Porcelain 'Chadwick' Armorial Plate, Qianlong Period, Circa 1791.The central armorial crest suspended by a ribbon from a double swag of husks and crossed branches below. Inscribed to the reverse 'Canton in China 24th Jany 1791'.
Diameter: 10in.
Footnote: The service was made for Lieutenant Colonel John Chadwick (1720-1800) of Ridware and Healey Hall. The arms are those of Chadwick quartering Malvesyn, Carden and Bagot.

Condition
Under UV light there are two small areas of fluorescence along the rim. Probable professional restoration. Otherwise good condition overall, typical wear and rubbing to painted decoration.
