Richard Stauffer (1932-2005) blue vase w/ black threads, handblown glass, signed on bottom, good condition, size: 6 x 4.5 x 4.5 inches. Richard L. Stauffer was born in New Cambria, KS on April 1, 1932. He was a graduate of Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia and the Univ. of Kansas, Lawrence. Served in the U.S. Army before teaching in the Emporia public schools. Joined the Emporia State Univ. faculty.Member: Kansas Art Education Assoc; Kansas Artist-Craftsman Assoc; Kansas Sculptors Assoc.Awards: Kansas Art Educator of the Year, 1984; Kansas Governor's Artist Award, 1984.Collections: Lyon County Fairground; City Hall, St. Mary's; Watkins Museum; EmpriseBank Collection.Richard Stauffer died in Emporia, KS in 2005.
