Dr. Strangelove, also known as "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" - directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Peter Sellers who played three roles, including the title character - is a classic political satire concerning the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. The plot was inspired by Peter George's novel "Red Alert" (1958). George also co-wrote the screenplay for "Dr. Strangelove" with Kubrick. Please note, studios no longer issue insert posters. Given their rarity and their convenient, somewhat smaller size, vintage insert posters are coveted by collectors. A special piece of cinema history mounted in a custom frame. Poster is mounted behind UV protective glass in a custom frame. While not examined outside the frame, the poster appears to be in good vintage condition save some staining. The fold marks are expected, as insert posters from the 1960s were issued folded. Custom frame is comprised of museum-quality materials and fit with suspension wire.
