    Adewuyi Theophilus is a Nigerian visual artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. He studied fine and applied arts at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Theophilus is a protégé of prolific Nigerian artist- Opedun Damilola. He volunteers as an instructor at an art developmental organization known as The Seed Of The True Vine Foundation (TSTTV). His preferred medium is oil paint, while his art is born from his lived experiences. He is fascinated with the texture, form, volume, and metaphorical possibilities of the woman's hair. Adewuyi considers the woman's hair a symbolic crown and its varied care routines an ode to self-love.
