The association of this deep aubergine brown ground, bright whites and reds as well as the lack of cotton help to move this torba away from a simple Yomut appellation to P-Chodor group, which has confusingly been described as meaning both pseudo and proto-Chodor, because these weavings seem to display little affinity to Chodor weavings and more to the Karadashli and Imreli sub groups. The Memling gül with a hooked dyrnak style gül is well known in the wider Yomut, Eagle göl and Salor tribes in torbas and mafrashes and also demonstrate the high quality of this weaving.
