Antique late 19th century. It represents the bust of a young woman, made of patinated bronze, by the French sculptor Sylvain Kinsburger (1855-1935). The base is pink marble. In very good condition according to its age. Signed on the back of the bust S. Kinsburger. It measures 8" H x 4" W x 2.5" D (inches). This beautiful sculpture was made in France in the late 19th century. Sylvain Kinsburger was a French sculptor who executed works in marble and bronze, and was also known as an engraver of medals. Made his Salon debut in 1878, with several bronzes. Became a member of the Société des Artistes Français. Won numerous prizes several times over the years, receiving bronze medals at the World's Fairs in 1889 and 1900. Dies in France in 1935.
