The book details from building steamboats to railroad and the companies improvements in locomotion. The front of the cover has been embossed with the company seal and the spine reads Semi-Centennial of The H.&H.Co. 1836-1886 Porter & Coates. The cover shows general discoloration, wear along the edges and corners. The bottom and top edges of the spine are mildly frayed. The first few pages have separated from the binding. The interior pages are in good condition overall with discoloration along the edge from age. The book also shows light staining from water damage along the top that is apparent when the book is closed. The top edges of the page are gold. See photos for best description.
