Description
C. 1889. New Haven Car Register Company. This is an early and scarce cigar vending machine, known by collectors as the "Elm City." Oak construction, this vending machine offered two selections with separate coin entries for each. There is a front tag identifying the machine as Elm City Mfg. Co. This machine was part of a find of four, and comes with all of the parts needed to make it fully functional. CONDITION: Shows signs of use and wear, but nothing that distracts from the overall look and patina of this late 19th century vending machine. All of the interior parts are included. This is a great opportunity for a collector to add a great early cigar vender to their collection. Referenced in "Silent Salesman Too" by Bill Enes, page 222. Condition: (Fair). Dimensions: 12 - 3/4" x 7 - 1/4" x 30".
