Description
Composite material with metal frame. A nice example of this desirable trade sign in the shape of set of glass for an optical instrument make in London. CONDITION: Side one shows hand-painted lettering with the address and business type. Paint shows age-appropriate wear. There are areas of cracking around the border of the sign areas, where the composite material has started to crack. Sign still displays very well. (7.5). Side two shows a set of eyes painted in what would be the lens of the glasses. Eyes retain excellent color throughout the field, with areas of isolated paint loss and age-appropriate patina. Shows cracking to the composite material as well. (8.0). In total, this is a well-displaying piece that would be an excellent addition to any collection. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made. Condition: (7.5, 8.0). Dimensions: 50" X 56"
