1950s coin-operated AM Pillow Speaker Radio, Model 430-D1. Manufactured by the Dahlberg Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The radio was in motel rooms in the 1950s, mounted to the headboard. The radio activates when a dime is deposited, which allows it to play for a limited time. The speaker was in the radio in a pillow speaker. The white Bakelite case radio measures 9" tall, 13" wide and 5" deep. The radio is in pristine condition, and the coin mechanism and radio operates perfectly. This radio is displayed on an oak stand, with an engraved description on a metal plaque. Overall, it is in really nice condition and a great addition to any collection.
