Ivory Coast or Liberia, Guere or Wobe Peoples, Carved Wood, Fiber, And Animal Fur Mask | Mask Mounted on Metal Stand Features Two Horns Curling Toward the Eyes And an Open Mouth with a Protruding Tongue. Patches of Animal Fur (Possibly Stuffed with Paper) Create an Image of Bulbous Cheeks. Carved Tubular Eyes Retain Some of Their Pigment. Animal Fur Across the Center of the Face Obscures the Top of the Mouth And the Nose. Two Small Packets Are Suspended from Wood Connecting the Two Horns of the Figure, Covered by a Thick Patina.
