Description

French Louis XVI Three Drawer Desk with extremely detailed bronze dolphin and floral decorated ormolu trims. Heavy bronze trim on top with medallion decorations. This three drawer desk is in all original condition with original leather top and hardware. This is an early desk and a work of art in furniture. This museum quality piece measures 30"H x 58"L x 34"D. Originally from the Herman and Claudia Uihlein Mansion in Milwaukee, WI, members of the Schlitz family of Schlitz Brewing. This piece was obtained in France by Claudia Uihlein around the turn of the century and has spent the last 55+ years in storage, along with many other items in this auction from the same estate.
