Vintage Sterling Vermeil Rhinestone Brooch - Blossom/Starburst, 1940's. Rose gold over sterling - marked sterling and tests as sterling with an appx. weight of 25.14 gr. It is 3" across with the bottom petals being pointed and open and a rhinestone in each point and the petals between are slightly higher and scalloped in a graduated manner. The next layer has rays that curve outward and upward with either three or one 3mm rhinestone in each and the cente ris a 5mm rounds tone with a halo of 3mm rhinestones - all prong-set. The stones are clear and mostly grayed. It has a long locking pinback that is built in to the brooch and not a frame soldered to the brooch. Very good condition other than the grayed stones. Three stones were missing as can be seen in the photos. They have been replaced. (W7/15/23.1X1 SS11792 J LD 9/10/23).
