Description
Superb quality Irish three piece sterling tea service. The teapot and sugar bowl with marks for Edward Crofton, 1818, the creamer with marks of SB 1823. The set consists of a bone handled circular reeded body teapot along with matching sugar and creamer with scroll formed sterling handles. Teapot 29.65 troy ounces Set 45.53 troy ounces. The sugar bowl with mishappened rim and old repair to reeded decoration. Provenance: Mr. William C. Robinson Jr was master of foxhounds at the Sewickley Hunt Club and also was owner of the horse farms: "Far Away Farm" Sewickley PA and "Lanes End" in Versailles Kentucky. His wife Mary Laughlin Robinson was also an accomplished equestrian.
