Description
George II sterling English silver cream boat and a George III caster, the cream boat struck to underside with maker's marks of David Willaume II, London, 1731 and the caster with marks of Augustin Courtauld, London,1783, the cream boat raised on three shell feet, the body chased with swags, the spout engraved with arms; the caster with removable reticulated top with pierced panels, one side engraved with arms, the other with crest. Weight: 18.10 ozt.; caster: 7" H x 2.75" diameter. Provenance: From a N.Y. private collection. Important Silver and Russian Works of Art: Sotheby's, New York, October 23, 2014, lot 482.
