Born in 1918, Cannes, France, Obican is known for child-like cartoonish fantasy figure paintings of musicians, dancers, clowns and birds. He died in 1986. This piece is depicts a man in colorful garb with a bird in a basket on his back with flowers and one in his hand. It is signed in the bottom right in pencil and numbered 812/100. The piece measures H 37" x W 29" in a gold metal frame and weighs approximately 11.5 Lbs. Please refer to all photos. Overall in very good condition.
