Description

An early Victorian silver soup ladle in Fiddle pattern, having presentation monogram engraving to terminal. Hallmarked William Eaton, London 1842. Length 13.5" (34cm), weight 8.32 ozt (258.8 grams).

Condition Report:
  • Item shows general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
  • Silver is quite dull and would benefit from a clean and polish.
  • Terminal is very darkly tarnished.
  • Interior and exterior bowl show very small nicks and dints through out, with some deeper scratches to the right of the drop.
  • There is a recess evident on the drop.
  • Sides to bowl appear slightly bashed.
  • There is an area of sticker residue across the second monogram engraving on terminal.
  • Hallmarks are clear and legible.
