This darling set of child's dishes was manufactured by the Akro Agate Co in Ohio. Set called The Little American Maid Tea Set comes in the original box and contains 17 pieces with cups, saucers, plates, cream and sugar and small teapot. Comes in the original box and appears complete. The Akro Agate Co. was the leading manufacturer of marbles, while facing competition?from other manufacturers in the 1930s, they began to produce other items including these sets of children's dishes while still producing marbles. After WWII, they began to struggle with finances due to the growth in plastics use and closed their doors in 1951.

Contents appear in excellent condition, one blue plate missing, tear in box lid, graphics are very good.
