Navajo 14mm-26mm Turquoise and Solid Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace Acquired From Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation - This stunning necklace was finely crafted of solid sterling silver and decorated with 14mm-26mm turquoise which have a stunning green-blue color with rich brown and black matrix. The necklace was acquired by our seller's parents in 1980 from the Museum of the American Indian, Heye Foundation, and will include a copy of the original purchase invoice. This necklace comes from a collection which has been housed in a vault for over 40 years. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. Measurements: naja-4" x 2.5", length-26". Condition: Overall excellent estate condition with very light signs of wear/patina. (WEIGHT: 273.4 grams)
