Not Wanting to Say Anything About Marcel four Plexigrams I-VIII, each comprising eight screenprints on movable Plexiglas panels on a walnut base 1969; each signed by the artists and numbered to base: "I AP VII XVIII", "VIII AP IX/XVIII", "VI 7/125", and "VII (illegible) 125"; printed by Hollander Workshop, New York, published by EYE Editions, Cincinnati (Each overall: 14 1/2 x 25 x 14 1/2 in. [36.8 x 63.5 x 36.8 cm.]); together with four copies of the booklet "To Describe the Process of Composition Used in Not Wanting to Say Anything About Marcel" (Each 14 x 20 in.); also together with three associated three-legged metal stands (Two 38 in. high, one 30 in. high), and one associated ebonized wood stand (11 in. high) Provenance: Property from the Estate of Famed Pianist and Producer Michael Lang, Los Angeles, California
Condition
Four or five panels each with a minute chip to edge or corner. Several panels with abrasions or wear along edges. Each of the panels somewhat cloudy, and each with some scratches, most of them faint, but a few a bit heavier. Each panel with abrasions along the lower edge where slotted into the base. The finish on the wooden bases sun-faded. No chips or cracks to the wood.
