A late 20th century reproduction L. Curtis Girandole Banjo wall clock. 8-day weight driven time only movement with a painted metal dial and Roman numerals marked "L. Curtis Patent, Concord, Mass, 1818". Shaped case with Mahogany body and Gilded front having a carved Eagle finial above circular Brass upper door with applied Brass spheres and convex glass over a bowed throat glass with reverse painted decoration flanked by Brass side arms over a circular lower door with wood spheres, convex glass and reverse painted Wharf scene and a carved foliate drop. Minor case and finish wear and variation, the throat frame is much lighter and may have been cleaned or re-Gilded, not running when cataloged. 46 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $1,000-1,500
