Description
Twenty-nine (29) pieces sterling silver flatware in the Versailles pattern by Gorham, designed 1888 by Antoine Heller. Includes 1 large ladle (13"L), 4 table/serving spoons, 1 dessert spoon, 1 round bowl soup spoon, 3 bouillon soup spoons, 6 demitasse spoons, 1 teaspoon, 1 iced tea spoon, 3 salad/dessert forks; 2 flat handle butter spreaders and 2 hollow handle butter spreaders; 1 confection spoon; 1 gravy ladle, 1 cheese scoop, and 1 pickle fork. Note: this appears to be a set assembled over the course of many years, with some additional markings besides the usual lion-anchor-G and "Sterling" en verso as follows: the Large ladle and bouillon soup spoon are marked "Copyrighted 88". 1 Tablespoon and the gravy ladle are marked "Copyrighted." Teaspoon is marked "M". 3 Tablespoons are marked "H". Other items unmarked. Combined weighable sterling: 41.51 oz troy.
