We are pleased to present an extremely rare pair of Circa 1944-1945 Eames preproduction prototype DCW chairs. This extraordinary pair remains in all original condition along with its original undisturbed 5-2-5 bolt configuration. They feature slightly different proportions to the final design that went into production in 1946. These works give a great window into the development of one of the most iconic chairs by Charles & Ray Eames. Both chairs descend from a West Coast estate. Never before offered!! One of the chairs retains its original Evans label. This incredible pair represents a very rare opportunity to witness the design evolution of one of the 20th centuryâ€™s greatest chairs!
