A LOUIS XVI STYLE PAINTED AND UPHOLSTERED CANAPÉ À OREILLE, LATE 18TH CENTURY, the tall rectangular back issues swan neck form "wings" sloping to upholstered armrests ending with scrolled hand terminals raised on fillet carved supports on tapered turned fluted legs, upholstered throughout in aubergine velvet and includes two short bolster cushions. Height: 39 1/2" Width: 65" Depth: 25" Provenance: Estate of Frances "Sissy" Farenthold, Houston, Texas.
