A lot going on with this late 19th C. wooden egg crate from the railroad shipping labels on the side to the advertising, stenciling & ownership statements therein. Manufactured by the Carter Feeder Co. of Medford Mass, the crate was owned by an E.C. Flower of Hartland, VT but contains shipping labels to W.C. Belding of Springfield Mass on the American Express Railway, whew! A great piece of country Americana, measuring roughly 14" cubed
