9.11.23-LOT- 1476- The painting is likely relined as it is taught, I removed the dust cover, the rear canvas is as pictured, I do note some small abrasions and a light line running the border along the edge, this indicates that it was likely previously framed in a smaller frame, there a few very minor areas of paint loss, a UV examination reveals heavy old varnish, except for in the sky, and at the bottom, where the light is shining, see images, the frame shows some spotting, gilt loss and light wear throughout, I am not an expert on such works, please let me know should you have further questions
