CONNECTICUT VALLEY QUEEN ANNE CARVED CHERRY BONNET-TOP HIGH CHEST, in two sections, the closed bonnet top featuring a pinwheel to the central plinth, and original finials, the case set with three short drawers, the center having a carved fan, above four graduated drawers, the base with one full-length drawer above three short drawers, the center having a carved fan, and a scalloped skirt, the whole raised on cabriole legs terminating in pad feet. Original brasses. White pine secondary wood. Retains a warm refinished surface. Possibly Glastonbury area. Fourth quarter 18th century. 84 1/2" HOA, 37 1/2" x 20 1/2" OA.

Condition
Excellent overall condition, drawer lips with a few minor losses/repairs, the proper left side of the upper case with an old patch, light shrinkage cracks to sides, the knee blocks restored.
