Description
RARE ENGLISH GEORGIAN WALNUT CANDLE LANTERN, the irregular hexagonal frame includes a hinged door that retains its original brass pull, five sides set with a glass pane, applied D-scroll handle, topped with a sheet-iron vent cap, frame with lightwood edging, interior bottom and back lined with sheet-iron, fitted with a period cut-corner square base taperstick. Circa 1770. 11 1/2" HOA, 7 1/2" handle to door.

Condition
Very good visual condition, the vent hood is a professional replacement, one side glass pane missing, door glass with a crack to one corner, and several pieces of frame edging are missing.
