FRENCH BURL WOOD AND CUT-STEEL PIQUE PLAYING CARDS BOX, the slightly domed hinged lid decorated with "Ecarte" within a gothic arch and trefoil border, concealing a lemon wood-lined divided interior containing two sets of French Paris pattern Ecarte playing cards and seven mother-of-pearl chips. French inked inscription under base. Circa 1830. 1" H, 6 3/4" x 4 1/4".

Excellent condition with only minute wear to several corners. Lacking one playing card.
