Description
ENGLISH GEORGIAN STERLING SILVER CANN / MUG, baluster form having an applied double-scroll handle with leaf thumbrest, gold-washed interior, raised on a round foot. Impressed to base with an unidentified maker's mark of "W [pellet] [I or D?]" or "[I?] [pellet] M" and three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, a crowned leopard's head city mark for London, and a "U" date mark for 1775. Total weight: 7.140 ozt. Circa 1775. 3 7/8" H rim, 2 5/8" D rim.

Condition
Very good overall condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, minor losses to gold-washed finish along the rim, handle with top terminal having a section of separation from the side of the well, possible repairs at top and bottom terminal.
