Description
ENGLISH GEORGIAN RETICULATED STERLING SILVER WINE BOTTLE COASTERS, PAIR, each with silver gallery rim having feathered edge and reticulated sides, featuring floral and foliate designs with engraved accents, center panel engraved with a lion's head erased crest, original turned mahogany base having an applied old green felt pad to underside. Each with a partial incuse maker's mark of "T[N]" probably for Thomas Nash I and three impressed hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, a crowned leopard's head city mark for London, and an "N" date mark for 1768. Circa 1768. Each 4 1/2" D rim, 1 3/4" H.

Condition
Very good visual condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and nicks, a few spots of slight bending, some denting along bottom edge; one with top edge having one spot of repair and two other possible repairs, a short split at bottom edge; the other with a repair to the top of one vertical element and a repair at the base of another vertical element, bottom edge with a repair; each possibly having one or a few additional minor repairs.
