10th-early 11th century AD. It is 1" wide with raised edge crescent, the field with pelleted triangles, a typical Viking motif. The crescent tips, traditionally emphasized as Sol the sun and Mani the moon, are trilobate, perhaps a reference to the Christian cross, which form Vikings used/borrowed well before being converted. The center has pendulant member with matching terminal. In earlier examples, these would have been single flobes or balusters representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon.
