Japanese Arita Porcelain Bowl, by Genroku Tominaga (Japanese, 1859-1920) probably late 19th-early 20th century in date, the bowl is decorated with a mouse seated on a large daikon, painted in underglaze blue and iron brown. The daikon and leaves dramatically encompass the interior of the bowl. A stylized vine motif encircles the exterior. The base bears the inscription: Genroku sei (made).

Condition: Some pitting of the glaze on the interior of the bowl and wear on the foot rim.
