Description
3 Japanese Imari Porcelain Dishes are fine examples of Ko-Imari dating from the late 17th-18th century. The Arita kilns produced the blue and white porcelains for export. One of the dishes is decorated with peaches, symbol of immortality, set against a green celadon ground. Another is decorated with an interior band of plant forms and a central image of a rock with plant. The third dish is decorated with folding fans set against a background of stylized mountains and clouds. This piece is signed on foot and has spur marks from firing.
