Description
American. Circa 1920. Mahogany case. Plays standard 88 note piano rolls as well as duoart reproducing piano rolls. This piano was designed to fit into any home. It has normal, soft and dance control as well as solo, soft and loud accompaniment section. Manual override allows the user to change volume on demand. Other controls include tempo, transmission re-roll, silent and play. The final control is the electric motor. Automatic rewind/repeat function. This piano plays Ampico A rolls. Fall board is labelled Marshall and Wendall. The cast plate inside is embossed "60199". In excellent overall condition. The case has been refinished. The piano has been restrung and repinned and was tuned to the concert pitch of A440. Complete piano action. The bridal straps, hammers and dampers were fully restored. It retains the original motor including a Dampp-Chaser humidifying system. Mechanically overhauled and working at the time of cataloguing (08/04/2023 - see video). 55.5"H x 61"L x 28.75"W.
