A limited edition woodcut by Dorothy Mandel featuring a flock of sea birds flying in the same direction, perhaps migrating, over the ocean. Mandel rendered the birds in a deep cerulean blue, so that their expressive avian forms contrast with the lighter blue body of water and the spring green hues of the land below. A gorgeous composition mounted behind glass in a custom matte and frame. Size (image): 16.75" L x 12.75" W (42.5 cm x 32.4 cm) Size (frame): 25.25" L x 20.75" W (64.1 cm x 52.7 cm)

Signature, title, and edition number handwritten in pencil below the image. Woodcut is mounted behind glass in a custom matte and frame. Artwork has not been examined outside the frame but presents with vivid imagery and strong hues. Slight toning and one minute stain at lower right margin that does not impact the imagery. Normal wear to wooden frame commensurate with age. Fit with old suspension wire that we would recommend replacing. Gallery paper on verso is separating from the frame and could also be replaced.
