Hard boards, original green cloth with gold decorations and lettering on spine and front board [a little wear, bumped corners, surface color damages at the bottom side of the boards: see photos], 5" x 7.3/4"; inscription dated 'Christmas 1910' on verso of the front ep, frontispiece on glossy paper with tissue guard,, 184 pages on heavy paper + 7 plates on glossy paper [the last two plates have a stain at the upper edge: see photos], a few stains, very good condition.

The story revolves around a small rural community where the local bishop is highly respected and revered. One day, the bishop receives a peculiar request from a resident known as the Boogerman.
