Description
Three pieces by C.T. Mitchell, possibly a pseudonym used by Meriden, CT based Norwegian/American artist Frederick Matzow (1861 - 1938). All three landscapes are rendered via pastel on board and signed within the works. The largest of the pieces measures approximately 33 1/2" wide and 13 1/2" high by sight (and its wooden frame 37" wide, 17 1/4" high and 1 1/4" deep). The smallest of the pieces measures approximately 23 1/2" wide and 11 1/2" high by sight (and its wooden frame 27 1/2" wide, 15 3/4" high and 2" deep). Art is in fine condition. None have been inspected out of their frames. Some scuffs, dings, nicks and other age-related wear is evident throughout the frames, in addition to some slight separation at the moulding junction points. Large, heavy shipping items.
