Japanese Edo Period Lacquered & Gilded Wood Inro, Ca. 1850, H 8" W 1" L 2.5" | The inro offers four cases with a landscape design. The inro is a box original used for hold a man's seals. The many compartments fit into each other with extraordinary precision and are fastened together with a cord which passes through channels on each side. Circa 1850.
Condition
The top side edge exhibits small abrasions with associated losses. The interior of the inro is clean.
