Description
Austrian Lion's Head Pommel Officer's Saber, Ca. 19th C., H 39" | 33" curved, single-edged, flat-back blade. Maker's mark at the ricasso obscured by the langet. Finely detailed brass lion's head pommel. Mother-of-pearl grips with scrolling floral quillons and back strap. One langet bearing the coat of arms of the Empire of Austria. Includes leather-wrapped scabbard with scrolling floral brass chape and throat.
Condition
Minimal pitting to the blade. Approximately six mall chips at the blade's edge. Slightly bent blade tip.
