War Of 1812 Era Eagle Head Pommel Officer's Saber, Ca. Early 19th C., L 35.25" | 30" flat-back, single-edged, curved blade. 1/2 blued steel with gilt highlighted etched designs of crossed arms and scrolling floral designs. Brass eagle head pommel with D guard bearing crossed arms decorations. Mother of pearl grips with one langet having an eagle crest. Any possible markers mark at the ricasso is obscured by the langets. Includes leather scabbard with floral decorated chape and throat.
Condition
Minimal pitting to the blade. Some loss to the gilt on the blade. Cracking to the leather scabbard.
