Two African Tribal carved wood implements
Comprising an Oshe Shango stick from Yoruba, Nigeria and a hammer on wood stand from Baule, Western Guinea, Akan region.
height of largest 15in (cm); width 5 1/2in (cm); depth 2 1/4in (cm)

Property from the Collection of Frederic Littman, Portland, Oregon.

Condition
General marks, nicks, scratches, cracks, chipped losses and areas of repair. Dirt accumulation overall. The scepter with traces of polychrome decoration remaining, fraying of rope at handle, vertical crack and repair to back of upper panel and small numbered label affixed to base of handle. Height of hammer on wood stand 12 1/2in. The hammer with loss to decoration above the carved mask and fraying of fabric and string.
