Ida Kohlmeyer
The drawing is done in the well-known style of Ida Kohlmeyer. she was an American painter and sculptor who lived and worked in Louisiana. Her work is specially preserved at the National Museum of Women Artists, the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Although she was a Reform Jew throughout her life, she played an active role in the New Orleans Jewish community. Touro Temple, one of two temples in the city (the other is an Orthodox Jewish temple), displays much of his artwork in its synagogue and social hall.
