The 1971 MLB All-Star Game was held on July 13, 1971, at Tiger Stadium in Detroit, Michigan. This marked the first time Detroit hosted the All-Star Game since 1941. The game featured some of the greatest players of the era, including Frank Robinson, Reggie Jackson, Hank Aaron, and Johnny Bench. The American League emerged victorious, defeating the National League with a score of 6-4, thanks to Reggie Jackson's mammoth homer off the stadium light tower.
The consignor was an advanced collector of sports memorabilia and bought from reputable sources such as MLB, Mears, Goldin, Heritage, and of course, University Archives.
While we guarantee the key signatures of Thurman Munson and Reggie Jackson on this ball we cannot positively identify all the signatures or determine the possibility of added clubhouse signatures.
