Description
This perforated 2 1/4" discoidal is made in a form commonly called the Cahokia style. It dark, nearly black, hard stone with a hole in the center slightly less than a 1/2" in diameter. The faces bevel toward the center. Discoidals like this were much valued tribal possessions associated with many tribes throughout the Eastern United State. CONDITION: stone shows significant use & minor chipping to the edges. (02-17071/BF). $200-350.
