Set of two [2] vintage Art Deco candlestick holders, late 1940s-1950s, marked "Dutchin Creations Co / Sterling Weighted."

The candle holders are 3.3/4" [9.5cm] tall; 2.3/4" [7cm] across at the base, a few small spots, and a little wear due to silver cleaning, very good condition.

The Duchin Creations Silver Company was an American company, located in New York City that operated from 1944 into the 1950s.

Weighted sterling or weighted silver refers to items such as candlesticks, candy dishes, salt and pepper shakers, and trophies that have a heavy thick weighted foot or pedestal base, in order to keep them steady and not easy to topple over. Heavy materials, mostly other metals, are used in the base to give the item strength, stability, and heft.
