About the Artist: Will Barnet (1911-2012) was born in Beverly, Massachusetts and studies at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and the Art Students League in New York. He later taught art at Yale University, Cornell University and the Art Students League. His early works were influenced by expressionism which was then followed by abstract works in the 1950s and 1960s. His style evolved into more figurative works of silhouetted forms set against geometrically designed backgrounds. His work is in many prestigious collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. In Greek Mythology, Circe was the daughter of Helios, the sun god, and Perse, the ocean nymph. By using incantations, herbs and potions, she was able to turn people into animals. She did this to Odyssesus' sailors when they reached her secluded island of Aeaea. Odysseus was able to trick her and instead of becoming an animal, he became her lover for a year. They had three children - Agrius, Latinus and Telegonus. The latter killed Odysseus. Ships from Las Vegas, NV.
