ENGLISH ROYAL DOULTON BAYEUX TAPESTRY CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FIVE, each having transfer images with polychrome enamel decorations depicting battle scenes relating to the Norman conquest of England in 1066 including archers, men with swords and shields, and horsemen, comprising a jardiniere, a large candlestick, a match holder/ashtray, and two square-form toothpick holders. Marks to underside include printed lion on a crown with "ROYAL DOULTON / ENGLAND" below and "D 2873". Together with a miniature Limoges vase, a porcelain thimble, and eight French postcards, each depicting various Bayeux Tapestry images. Fifteen (15) pieces total. Royal Doulton, Lambeth, London, England; Limoges, France. 1909-1930. Candlestick 8 3/4" HOA, jardiniere 4 3/4" H, 5" D.

Thirteen undamaged; jardiniere having some faint radial hairlines to base that do not appear to go through to interior and moderate interior crazing; candlestick having some professional restoration to rim and moderate crazing.
