DESCRIPTION: Antique cloisonne chandelier crafted during the Guangxu reign revival of the craft from gilt bronze and featuring three areas of cloisonne components-a lobed dome at the bottom of the body proper, a smooth dome at the bottom of the canopy, and eight panels flanking the arms-each depicting floral and foliage designs against a lapis blue background. Lower dome is adorned with various auspicious animals. Arms and connecting components are decorated with dragon designs and canopy is fashioned with dragons and open-work foliage, adorned with shou medallions, and finished with a lotus bud finial on its dome.
